“Here at Xavier’s School For Gifted Youngsters, being gifted is only the first gift of many!”
With marketing amping up for the release of the latest X-Men: Apocalypse Digital HD and Blu-Ray/DVD, the people over at Fox are once again choosing to bring you the latest updates featuring a brand new video that appears to have taken place in the ’80s. Did you ever want to enroll in Xavier’s School For Gifted Youngsters? Well, now you can!
The new promo video (which you can check out below!) gives you that ’80s vibe and shows how much time and care has been taken with the marketing for Bryan Singer’s latest X-Men film:
What Are You Waiting For? Enroll Now In ‘Xavier’s School For Gifted Youngsters!’

But no seriously, how cool would it be to study under the tutelage of the one and only Charles Xavier? How amazing would it be to walk the halls of this incredible mansion and get a glimpse of what it’s like to show off your powers and not worry about what anyone else thinks about your unusual or gifted power?
Well, it can all be possible if you enroll today!
Some of the things you will learn at the school include an in-depth study on Apocalypse by Raven/Mystique, an entire class on the history of mutants by Prof. Xavier (that sounds like my kind of class!), however the Science and Technology class taught by Dr. Hank McCoy seems too difficult for me to get a grasp of. The assigned reading doesn’t bother me, but the subject matter just isn’t my strongest suit.
Other awesome perks at this school include a meal plan which gives you a variety of choices including Mexican, Chinese, and of course the all-American pizza! Need a place to study? Go hang out in the foyer! Want to practice real world combat with your powers in a “safe and efficient” environment? Well, now you can against the classic army of Sentinels! There is also many different types of extra-curricular activities you can take part in and outside the school including Archery, a movie theater, and a large mall. Hey they even opened a White Castle near by!
How The Marketing Is Helping To Promote Their X-Men Films
The X-Men films have done a fantastic job making you believe that everything has happened in the ‘real’ world. This isn’t however the first time the team at 20th Century Fox has put together. A few months ago, two more videos surfaced that promoted what was happening in the current X-Men timeline which of course is the 1980s.
One of them featured an X-Men: The Animated Series fan-favorite Jubilee in her own promotional video showcasing Xavier’s School For Gifted Youngsters. The other, was a short video on the main villain Apocalypse. This video gave a brief history on the villain and kept audiences up-to-date on his entire reign throughout history.
You can check out both of those videos directly below:
Both of these videos did a fantastic job giving fans a taste of what’s to come, while also giving those fans who grew up in the ’80s, a feeling of nostalgia. The team over at Fox have done a fantastic job with this type of marketing and it seems to be paying off dividends for this franchise as the latest X-Men film grossed a grand-total of $543.5 million worldwide.
Will You Be Purchasing The Latest X-Men Film on Blu-Ray/DVD?
X-Men: Apocalypse may not have been as well received as both First Class and Days of Future Past, but X-Men: Apocalypse is still a solid entry to this franchise. The film established the future of this franchise as the ending sets the stage for potential movies with the young X-Men team front and center.
But before the team can take on other baddies in the X-Men mythos, Wolverine will be hanging up his claws in his last adventure in next year’s untitled Wolverine film. The latest report made fans even more excited when it was announced that fan-favorite X-Men villain Mister Sinister would finally be making his much anticipated movie debut, after being teased at the end of X-Men: Apocalypse.
You can pick up a digital copy of X-Men Apocalypse today, but you’ll have to wait until October 4 to get your hands on a Blu-Ray/DVD copy of the film.
