New ‘Captain America: Civil War’ Concept Art AND Ant-Man’s Costume Shows Off New Weaponry!

Captain America: Civil War  is quickly approaching.  “God vs Man. Day vs…” wait a minute I think I have the wrong movie here, sorry.  Anyway, brand new  Captain America: Civil War  concept art has just been released on the internet and boy are they AWESOME!

Check out the new concept art for the film below courtesy of!

What Stood Out in this Concept Art?

This concept art is incredible!  I especially love the one’s between War Machine and Falcon.  It makes sense for the two of them to go at it for a few reasons; they are both sort of classified as ‘sidekicks’ to their Leaders: ie: Tony Stark and Captain America respectively; they also both have awesome weaponry; and they both fly!

We know from watching previous films such as the  Iron Man  trilogy and  Avengers: Age of Ultron  that War Machine’s armor is attached with a machine gun on top.  Based on recent trailers for Captain America: Civil War, this movie will have him shoot out missiles from either shoulder and make him more of a force to be reckoned with.

Falcon on the other hand also has some new gadgets to show off.  First off, he will still have his duel pistols from  Captain America: The Winter Soldier.  However, one weapon that caught my eye are these lasers that are coming out directly from his wrists!  I have a hunch that it’s specifically made from Stark Technology and that Tony Stark lent a helping hand towards Falcon’s repertoire of weaponry which he will now use against him.

We also get a picture of the trio with Captain America, the Winter Soldier, and the Black Panther with War Machine lurking directly above them.  That picture includes additional Avengers such as Black Widow, Vision, and finally Agent 13.  This piece makes for a very ominous tone and sets the stage for war.

The next picture gives us more of the war setting that we are all expecting to see between the heroes.  This battle will surely be a sight to behold as the heroes get ready to battle to the death!

The final two pictures are concept art of the Black Panther costume along with Tony Stark’s new red/silver/gold armor.  There’s nothing too revealing here but it’s nice to get a closer viewpoint of both heroes preparing for the battle that lay ahead.

BONUS!!! New Ant-Man Civil War Armor!

Not only were we given more concept art, but this 1/6 scale collectible figurine of Ant-Man gives us a better look at Earth’s tiniest hero!

I gotta say that I am digging this new look for Ant-Man!  His new armor is different from Hank Pym’s costume  but it still retains that original Ant-Man look from his first solo outing.

For starters, the color scheme is generally the same with more grey and black added to the costume. Also, Scott Lang will be sporting some extra padding on his knees, shoulders, and elbows to give him that extra set of protection.  The tubing has also been moved as it was originally around his helmet, but can now be seen circling his shoulders.  His helmet is also VERY shiny and sleeker and that’s for good reason.  Clearly, this suit is BRAND NEW and has probably never been utilized before until we see him he fight Iron Man’s team.

It’s unfortunate that Michael Douglas won’t be reprising his role as Hank Pym in this film because he had to be the one who created this new tech upgrade for our smallest hero in Scott Lang.  Oh well, at least we’ll get to see Paul Rudd and his shenanigans once again in this summer’s  Captain America: Civil War!

What do you think of the latest concept art?  Was there anything that stood out to you?  Also, what do you think of Ant-Man’s new look?  Which costume do you prefer?  I’d like to hear everyone’s thoughts in the comment section below and don’t forget to share!
